Addressable Fire Alarm Systems: Tailored Solutions for Maximum Protection and Reliability

Advanced Addressable Fire Alarm Systems in

Worthing for Precision and Enhanced Safety

Addressable fire alarm systems offer a more advanced solution compared to conventional fire alarms. While they may come with a higher installation cost, they provide enhanced features and greater flexibility. One of the key advantages of an addressable system is its ability to precisely identify the location of an alarm, allowing for quicker and more accurate response times.

Pinpoint Accuracy: Quickly identifies the exact location of a fire, reducing response time and minimising property damage.

Custom Installation: Tailored to meet the specific requirements and specifications of your building for optimal protection.

Smart Interfaces: Integrates with systems like gas shutoffs, HVAC control, and emergency evacuation protocols for comprehensive safety.

Central Monitoring: Connects to a CMS (Central Monitoring Station) for immediate alerts and continuous monitoring of your fire alarm system.

Uninterrupted Protection: Backup batteries ensure the fire alarm system remains operational even during power failures.

Comprehensive Maintenance: Regular inspections and reports, with recommendations for preventative maintenance to ensure ongoing reliability.

Understanding exactly where a fire has started is essential to minimise risk of property damage. Multipanel can install an addressable fire alarm system tailor made to the building requirements and specification.

Precision, Control, and Seamless Integration for Maximum Safety

Each device is assigned its own unique address which can be set using a programmer or set using software. The control panel can then identify the programmed device with an address, the engineer can add information such as location text, assign a zone to the device and program cause and effects.

Interfaces can shut off gas a gas supply, HVAC, control a lift to ground level, control fire dampers, release magnetic door locks or used to signal a PA system to alert personnel in a building to assist safe evacuation of a site.

Outputs of the fire alarm panel or programmed interfaces can be connected to signal on site monitoring equipment and raise an alarm to a monitoring station, this is known as a CMS or central monitoring station.

In the event of a power failure, backup batteries are installed into the fire alarm panel to provide uninterrupted protection.

Expert Service, Reporting, and BS5839 Standards

Once installed and commissioned, full specification of a design and handover documents can be provided using British standards BS5839 parts 1-6.

Maintenance and inspection reports are provided on all service visits, 3 month or 6 monthly, with recommendations for any preventative maintenance. The fire alarm panel event log is inspected for historical faults recorded to identify devices that may require replacement.

Backup battery tests are recorded, the number of devices tested are recorded, areas not tested due to access are identified for future access testing.
